We are a Non Government Organization that was constituted under protection of the Law of Association of the Republic of Cuba, recognized national and internationally as the Cuban Movement for Peace and Sovereignty of the Peoples.

We have juridical personality and full legal capacity. To articulate efforts with organizations and people in Cuba and overseas which are interested in contributing to the world campaign for the peaceful coexistence of the States, are among our main objectives, sovereignty, development of peoples, protection of the environment and peace.

Peace is not only the absence of war but also the possibility to dedicate all the resources and efforts to the full development of society and human beings individually. There cannot be peace without development. For that reason our central watchword is disarmament for development and development for peace.

It is not only necessary to avoid a world conflagration and to stop the arms race, but eliminating the causes that provoke millions of dead every year, and are already present even in the developed world.

In times of globalization and application of neoliberal politics, where they seek unilaterally to impose by force or deceit the positions of the big powers, the fighters for the peace of the North and the South coincide with the demands in favor of the poor of the planet.

We have the consulting character before the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations and among our main work objectives in this specialized body of the system are the struggles against the criminal North American blockade against our country for more than 4 decades, the neoliberal globalization, the extraterritorial laws like the Helms-Burton and all attempts of imposing a unipolar world.
