Why Peace?

The Peace for us is not only the absence of the armed confrontation but also the possibility to devote all the resources and efforts to development. The sad reality that the planet expects for next century, should constitute convincing argument to forget contradictions that existed in the bosom of the world pacifist movement and, where many times, the trees didn't allow to see the forest.

The dramatization of the times imposes to all the duty of fighting against the dangers that attempt against the own human survival. The possibility of a global economic crisis of unforeseen consequences forces to save the planet and to the human species of being destroyed by the blind laws of the market.

The world pacifist movement received a hard hit with the disappearance of the socialist camp and the effects that it caused in the left wings of all the nations, what made bits the world balance until then existent and it allowed the dangerous existence of an only superpower.

In the era of the neoliberal globalization, where the United States tries to control to the world and to impose its system like I model of the global village that you/they praise its theoretical ones, which the paper of the movements should be for the peace?

We should fight for peace, but that one in which any human being, above all, has the minimum conditions to find his own realization, guaranteeing him foods, health, education, recreation and in short that each new creature recently arrived in the planet, not only has the possibilities to be born, but of being developed according to his capacities.

Our main currency is the unit of all the Latin American and Caribbean peoples integrated as such a force that allows us to be able to face economic and politically the challenges of a polarized world.

We are not only in favor of science and technique, but also of the possibilities for all to have access to them, to achieve the cessation to be a prohibitive matter for most of the inhabitants of the Earth.
