We work with all fighters for the peace in the world, and as part of the World Peace Council, we maintain a close work relationship with the rest of the member organizations and the international direction of this organization. Our current president, Lic. Orlando Fundora López is one of the three co-presidents of the CMP and acts as Coordinator for the Americas, what, besides honoring us commit us much more by the objectives we think about. Likewise, we have established a wide coordination with Non Government Organizations whose work objectives are in favor of the peace we defend, development and other goals we have in common, without distinction of ideological, political or religious positions. The structure of the Movement is formed by one National Council, a Secretariat, headed by its President who organizes and fulfils an action plan elaborated every year, which considers national and international activities. These are integrated by well-known personalities in all the disciplines of knowledge who render their valuable collaboration to all the tasks that we carry out inside and outside the country. The National Council of our organization, ruling body in charge of looking after the fulfillment of programmed tasks and to trace the main lines of work of the organization, meets with an enlarged character every two years. We publish the review Peace and Sovereignty, body of our Movement, as well as pamphlets, posters and all types of informative material. In our institution resides the Center of Information for the CMP in America, assisted directly by our President that offers information through the publication "Informative Synthesis" dealing with current topics to wide sectors in favor of peace in the region, as well as spreading the main actions of the fighters for peace in the world. We bear very much in mind the principles of our founders and, in spite of the hostilities, the economic blockade and the aggressions of the government of the United States, we will continuing hoisting, together with our people, the flags for which patriots and men of peace have died in Cuba and in many parts. We carry like an emblem, what was stated by the President of the Council of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Fidel Castro Ruz, in the General Assembly of the United Nations, soon after of the revolutionary victory of the Cuban People, when it defended a completely valid concept on the way toward an universal peace: LET THE PHILOSOPHY OF PLUNDER DISAPPEAR, AND THE PHILOSOPHY OF WAR WILL HAVE DISAPPEARED. |
